Ah, 5% of total words not 51%. That sounds better. I was informally noting Welch's use of the nasty little gnats. I thought he used them rather sparingly. I was surprised to see that large a percentage. I just advised Matt to spare the adjectives in his writing. "English moves on nouns and verbs." That's one of two or three things I learned in college.

Before reading this i was focusing on the use of words related to the beginning poem: bones, dirt. I've been highlighting related words. TBC.
